About Us

Meet Gina Day—BROKER/Owner:

Gina has been a lifelong resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is very proud to be a native Texan and to grow up in the Mid-Cities area. She graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1980 where she was actively involved in the Raiderette Drill Team for 3 years and the National Honor Society. She attended North Texas State University for 2 years and earned a place on the Dean’s Honor Roll. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin 2 years later with a B.A. in Psychology. While working on a Master’s Degree at the University of Texas in Arlington, she worked for a neuropsychologist and Christian counselor in Hurst.

Gina obtained her real estate license in June 1990 and began her career with Ebby Halliday Realtors in Bedford. She was able to utilize her psychology degree in many ways and it gave her a unique advantage especially while working with couples. She was appointed to the Ebby Relocation Team and became heavily involved with assisting buyers and sellers that were being relocated across the nation with their company. She quickly became a rising star with Ebby Halliday Realtors and won numerous awards for high production and customer service.

Meet Darryl Day–REALTOR®/Owner:

Darryl has also been a lifelong resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area (specifically the Mid-Cities area) and a native Texan. After graduating from L.D. Bell High School in 1979, he followed in his dad’s footsteps into the construction industry. He worked for Holloway Crane Service as an Operating Engineer for 15 years. Even though he had some interesting assignments such as putting up Big Tex at the State Fair in Dallas and the Christmas tree for the City of Fort Worth every year and moving Raymond Nasher’s sculpture collection at his home and for the Dallas Museum of Arts, he grew more and more restless and knew he was capable of so much more.

Darryl had always had a strong desire to serve others in such a way that he would leave a lasting impact on their lives. Inspired by the classic movie “It’s A Wonderful Life”, he realized that real estate was the answer for how he was to serve people. Darryl obtained his real estate license in 1993 and has never looked back. He now feels that he is fully using the gifts that God gave him to serve both his real estate clients and his community.

Day Real Estate:

Darryl and Gina attended the same high school but didn’t know each other well. They met again in a real estate class in 1993 and Darryl joined Ebby Halliday Realtors later that year. They married in 1997 and formed a husband and wife team that won Top Producing Team every year until they left Ebby in 2001.

Darryl and Gina opened a small, boutique style office on Harwood Road in Hurst, Texas in 2002. Day Real Estate was not just a dream anymore. Darryl and Gina wanted to inspire other agents to join them and work like they do. They wanted a healthy, supportive environment to train and build relationships with their agents and clients. Darryl and Gina built a successful office of like-minded agents and assistants for over 8 years.

Eventually, the time involved with managing and training agents pulled them away from their top priority of maintaining relationships with their own clients. Their vision for Day Real Estate changed and they decided to move their office to a home office in Bedford in 2010. They have been assisting families from their home office successfully since 2010.

Darryl and Gina are known for being honest, detail orientated, hardworking, dedicated and driven as well as making the process fun along the way. They primarily work by referrals received from their past and current clients. They are the area experts with a vast knowledge of the Mid-Cities area. They can provide you information on local codes, market trends, schools, neighborhood associations, local government resources and current events. They strongly believe in giving back to their community.

In Their Free Time:

For creative inspiration, Gina enjoys nature, music, family and friends along with photography and weather watching. She lovingly cares for two cats (traditional apple head Siamese), two dogs, and numerous Cichlid fish. Gina is an avid supporter of animal rights and volunteers with non-profit groups to support the prevention of unwanted litters of stray cats in the Mid-Cities area. She feels it is important to educate people on the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets.

Darryl is a voracious reader and is passionate about sharing the information he learns with others. He loves to encourage other people to grow themselves both personally and professionally. He also loves working out at Lifetime Fitness and playing golf. He can be seen walking his beloved dogs around the neighborhood.
